I know your thinking a man cave on wheels? What could that possibly be?
Well for my dearest husband Phillip the one item he absolutely cherishes, other than his family (of course) is his 2001 Honda Civic. I actually asked him before writing this post what was the one thing that he could never get rid of and that held sentimental value to him. His first answer happily wasn't the car, it was his family. I know I have the "BEST" husband ever. Now I wonder if I'll start getting comments and e-mails for my secret to such a great hubby? LOL
I actually thought he'd say his good ol' Denver Broncos Jacket that he has had since he was a teen, he still has the same jacket and uses it every time it gets a bit chilly, he'd rather wear it than a sweater any day! In the pic below he is putting up Christmas lights, this was last Christmas, I thought I'd post him wearing the jacket in this picture since its getting close to the Holiday season!
The reason his metallic silver Civic is so important to him is for the following reasons:
1. His first car
2. He bought it all by himself
3. Its a stick shift (I can't drive it, he couldn't be more blessed!)
4. Its a HONDA, need I say more?
He hasn't souped it all up all "Fast and Furious", yet... He talks of this and thankfully it hasn't happened. I can just see the excuses made for future traffic tickets... He does have a decent "system" in it (is that what they are called?)
and tinted windows.
I have tried to get him to "think" about trading it in for a minivan due to the kids but he just laughs. Hey have you seen those new minivans? Great gas mileage, some of them come with tables, can you believe that tables? You could live in those new minivans!
His Honda he swears he will never part with it, that is unless it gets totaled then he's off to the newest Honda Civic, I'm sure of that.
