Christian Fiction Carnival
This week she needs our help in developing a new name! Do you have any ideas? Be sure to check it out for your chance to win an Amazon gift card!
The question for this Saturday is:
Why do you read and review Christian fiction? Do you exclusively read Christian fiction or do you also read general market books?
My answer: I love to read and review Christian fiction due to the inspiration it gives me and to help promote fellow Christian writers. Every book I read I personally recommend to all of my friends, family, and readers on my blog here at Loving Heart Mommy. Its a tough market being a "Christian" writer in a market of many genres of books. I believe it also glorifies God and helps me to spread the word of Christ even if through a personal book review.
I read all genres, Christian literature is on my top 5 list of books that I read.
Be sure to check out your local library, even church library for some inspirational reads. This week I definately recommend "One Perfect Day" by Lauraine Snelling.
EXTRA EXTRA!!!
If you'd like to read some great inspirational reads you can also join up with FIRST and the CFBA and all they ask is that you read and review the books, there is no charge!

I also like that we can help spread Christ by promoting authors/books that promote Him.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things about reading Christian fiction is sharing these authors and their books with friends who might now currently know of them. I have surprised a lot of friends with my newest "discoveries." :)
ReplyDeleteI picked to review One Perfect Day and seeing that you recommend it must mean its going to be a good one, I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteU have a nice site.

I agree with Sunny on this one too.
ReplyDeletegood to read the post
I enjoyed One Perfect Day too! I reviewed it on my blog and am giving away a copy right now.
ReplyDeleteYes - one of the reasons I started blogging was to help support the authors in promoting their books! I am amazed at how well word-of-mouth works! Plus, bloggers aren't paid to review (I don't count free books), so you generally get a better impression of the books that way.
ReplyDeleteI am a member of FIRST WildCard Tours and love it! I would like to join CFBA, even sent an email, but haven't ever received a reply.
I just got my post up here: http://wendisbookcorner.blogspot.com/2008/10/saturday-christian-fiction-carnival.html

ReplyDeleteI really liked your answers! I agree that it's important for us to share with as many people as possible about the books we read. We are blessed when we receive books from publishers an authors! :)
