About Me

My name is Kristinia, proud Mom to Devin (12/16/04), Gabriel (02/24/07), Helana (09/09/08), and Collin (02/19/11). I'm now separated (January 2012).

I've been writing ever since I was younger, started with short stories and poetry. I first started blogging/writing online back in 2004 with Xanga, switched to Blogger, and now have my own personal domain thanks to Google.

I have Crohn's Disease (diagnosed August 13th, 2 days before my sweet 16th birthday). My "battle" with Crohn's Disease has been long and hard one. When I was first diagnosed I was in a whirlwind of pain that led to my first surgery in January of '00, due to a small bowel resection (about 16 inches of small intestine removed). I was able to keep it semi in remission throughout the years.

My disease has been in a flare-up since I had Collin in February... I've been undergoing tests, CT scans, and medication changes. I'm currently on Humira, Iron supplements, Calcium (Vitamin D), and Welchol.

I've been in and out of the lab doing numerous blood tests, just found out I'm Protein C & S Deficient, this all stemmed from a blood clot in my arm after an iv failed to be flushed properly from my c-section in Feb. of '11.  Sed rate is at a 65 and rising.. not good unfortunately...

I'm currently going to a GI, Hematologist, Physical Therapist, and a Nutritionist. I will keep this updated on my progress.
