Battlefield of the Mind was originally published in 1993 and has sold over two million copies. With the addition of a Biblestudy, Devotional, Kid’s edition and Teens edition, the Battlefield brand has now sold close to six million units.
JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES OVERVIEW
HISTORY
Joyce Meyer began teaching the Bible in 1976 and entered full-time ministry in 1980. She started by developing, coordinating and teaching a weekly meeting as an associate pastor in a church in St. Louis, Missouri. After five years she established her own ministry called Life In The Word. In 2003 the ministry’s name was changed to Joyce Meyer Ministries and the television, radio and magazine titles were changed to Enjoying Everyday Life.

Joyce has currently published more than 80 books. In 2007, Joyce Meyer Ministries distributed 5 million copies of her books in a total of 73 languages. Each year, more than 5 million of Joyce’s teachings on audio and video are distributed worldwide.
OUTREACH
In 2007, 83% of Joyce Meyer Ministries expenditures went directly toward reaching people with the Gospel and meeting the needs of those less fortunate including:
Children’s homes
Joyce Meyer Ministries fully funds and operates 47 children’s homes that are saving thousands from hunger, starvation and life on the streets. In these safe, loving homes, children receive an education and also learn how to pray and worship God.
Feeding Programs
Each year Joyce Meyer Ministries serves millions of meals to some of the poorest families and children in nations like India, Cambodia, South Africa and the United States.
Disaster Relief
To date, Joyce Meyer Ministries has donated more than $7 million to disaster relief efforts worldwide, reaching thousands of families with vital resources, financial assistance and spiritual help. Efforts include repairing or building nearly a thousand homes for victims of hurricanes and the 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia.
Inner-City ministry
Founded by Joyce Meyer Ministries in 2000, the St. Louis Dream Center church and outreach center offers hope and a new beginning to tens of thousands each year. Other vital inner-city ministries that are supported by Joyce Meyer Ministries include Urban Youth Impact and the Los Angeles Dream Center.
Prison Ministry
Since 1998, the ministry has delivered more than 1.6 million gift bags—containing hygiene items and one of Joyce’s books—to prisoners in more than 25 countries worldwide. In 2007, the Joyce Meyer teams visited prisons in Alaska, which completed the goal of reaching all 50 of the United States.
Medical Missions
Each year, thousands are helped with free medical care at the hospital established by JMM in Chandrakal, India, including lifesaving help to thousands through the medical boat in the Amazon, medical clinic in Ethiopia and other clinics that have been established by JMM worldwide.
Water Relief
To date, Joyce Meyer Ministries has dug more than 200 Well of Life freshwater wells in India, changing the quality of life for entire communities. We have also installed more than 840 water filtration systems throughout the Amazon Basin in partnership with Project Amazon.
TV and Radio
Enjoying Everyday Life currently airs on over 450 TV stations and over 400 radio stations in more than 30 languages, including Chinese, French, Korean, Portuguese and Arabic. It reaches a potential audience of 3 billion people throughout two-thirds of the world.
Conferences
Each year, hundreds of thousands of men and women attend the Joyce Meyer Ministries U.S. conferences, and internationally, more than 1 million often turn out for events.
United States - Joyce Meyer Ministries’ worldwide headquarters is located in Joyce’s hometown of Fenton, Missouri (a suburb of St. Louis).
International - Joyce Meyer Ministries has 15 offices strategically located around the world, in Australia, Canada, South Africa, Russia, Ukraine, India, Uganda, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Germany, England, and the Middle East.
