iCarly - Review

iCarly Season 1 (DVD)

You asked for more, so you're getting more -- more Season 1 of iCarly!! Joiin Carly, Sam, and Freddie as they deal with all the craziness of school, growing up, and crankin' out the best web show out there, iCarly.com!

Season 1 Volume 2 contains two discs, a total of 12 episodes. Plus tons of special features, including Behind the Scenes Extras and Behind the Slime with the cast of iCarly.

Stardom and popularity are a 13-year-old's dream, so what could be better than hosting your own Web show while you're still in high school? Carly and her friends Sam and Freddie create and produce iCarly, a weekly Internet series featuring everything from comedy bits to virtual art shows, kid bands, and dating advice. Carly lives with her older brother Spencer, a rather flaky artist and a more-than-a-little-unconventional guardian, and the gang spends most of their time there recording the show, raiding the fridge, and marveling at whatever crazy creation Spencer is currently working on. While having your own show certainly helps in the popularity department, Carly and her friends are not immune to the trials and tribulations of growing up and they spend lots of energy dealing with crushes, jealousy, friendship, conflict, schoolwork, and crazy teachers. Add in further complications (weighing the pros and cons of corporate sponsorships, professional producers, and dealing with crazed fans) and you can bet these three teens' lives are chock-full of drama. Each of these 12 episodes features lots of crazy antics and teenage humor and is a nice marriage of television and Web-based programming. This Nickelodeon show even uses real, kid-generated content in its scripts. (Ages 7 to 13) --Tami Horiuchi

My views on iCarly:
We love iCarly! The show is lots of fun all while teaching some very important lessons. I highly recommend iCarly for both girls and boys. Very family friendly but also safe to let your pre-teen/teen watch alone! The show is very computer oriented which is also a cool way to get your children involved with the technology of today! Thumbs up!
