I'm starting a meme for every day of the week and since its now 2010 and a New Year we are starting with "Friday"! I've decided to name mine "Fulfilling Friday's". I'm just going to be writing about something that is considered "fulfilling" to myself or my views on what may be considered fulfilling for others aka You!

1. To bring into actuality; effect: fulfilled their promises.
2. To carry out (an order, for example).
In December I felt in my heart that I needed something...something was missing.
If your new to my blog, my soul mate is on a deployment in Afghanistan w/ the USMC, until May, but he'd been gone since November and I had come to terms with how it would be w/out him. I know where he stands, I know where we stand, I'm not worried, I have the utmost faith in his safe return. We have each others heart, and a love that will never fade.
There was something else...I kept ignoring the subtle hints tugging at my heart for one of the four legged kind... I thought to myself, why take on "another" responsibility. I already have 3 angels, a pretty busy schedule, I wouldn't, I couldn't possibly have time for a pet right now.
Not with a toddler who's in between potty-training, a decent sleep schedule, my angel of a son Gabriel, who doesn't know any better than to follow me everywhere I go! Then my lil' Princess, Helana. She's not quite as demanding as Gabriel but regardless they both have their own routines, their own schedules, their own needs, one of their biggest needs being myself , "Mommy"!
I thought long and hard... and then all it took was "Browsing" dogs at Petfinder.com.
That was when I spotted a pup named "Laddie" who was being fostered by a rescue shelter,
Critter Cavalry New England. It was almost acceptance at first sight. There was something about this reddish/gold puppy that stood out.
The description was short... but for that pup to have a chance with a family who would love him forever, that was the difference I wanted to make. I wanted to rescue this adorable pup, I didn't want to go to a breeder, I wanted to save a life and that we did!
I am a pretty 12 week old German Shepard mix pup who was born to a momma dog that was very pregnant and in a kill shelter and a nice lady gave us a chance to be born outside of the shelter, safe and healthy. I am looking for a wonderful home and will make a family so happy to have my puppy love to enjoy! I will most probably grow up to be about 50 lbs when I am an adult.
I didn't realize he was in Nashville, TN when I was applying for adoption. He actually was postponed a few days due to the blizzardy weather we had on the East Coast. He finally arrived on the 21st of December, thanks to a very loving lady who drives these pups to their destination out of the goodness of her heart!
Laddie has been re-named to Bullet. He's named after a favorite band of mine, don't ask LOL
His birthday is September 19th, 2009. Ever since I brought him home he's been such a bundle of joy, sounds like I'm describing a newborn baby, doesn't it?
He's playful, very obedient for a 3 month old pup, we had maybe three accidents the first couple of days but other than that he knows we go out, in the back he does his thing and comes back inside. He's great with the children, he's still a bit skiddish of Gabriel because toddlers have a habit of being extremely spastic around dogs. He's not aggressive at all, he has barked, has quite a deep bark for a pup, he lets me know if anyone is walking by, outside the door, or whatnot, already a great little guardian! He sleeps at night at the end of the bed or under my chair by my computer, he follows me everywhere I go (so now both my son and Bullet do this, small world!), always attentive and already a loyal companion.
I want to express extreme gratitude and thanks again to the wonderful ladies at:
Critter Cavalry New England &
Critter Cavalry Nashville
and also where it all began
